"By the time a man is wise enough to watch his step, he's too old to go anywhere."
Billy Crystal
In the book I (somewhat) dealt with the dilema of dealing with meeting a new person and deciding that the chemistry just wasn't there. The problem was enhanced by the fact that the meeting was enjoyable and both had a good time.
Some women suggested that both should process the "no go" of the moment and call it quits then and there. I lacked the courage to do just that and stated that we should "keep in touch" and leave it at that. Then, just let the correspondence dwindle to nothing.
I met a lady recently online who told me a story. She mentioned dating a guy twice and then received this note: "It was a pleasure meeting you, but I didn't feel that certain sizzle that we would both want in a match."
She claimed to not feel rejected and appreciated his honesty. Sounds good to me.
